TALK TO US It is always best to talk directly with a member of our staff when placing an order. We value the chance to talk with you about your specific needs and wish to get the order exactly as you like it. Also, please try to give us as much time as possible prior to the date you need your special design order and at least 48-72 hours notice for a Saturday pickup. For our selection, visit the Dessert page.

PLEASE DON'T EMAIL OR FAX Please call us for all orders UNLESS you are sending artwork or related instructions to an order already placed: in those circumstances we take fax or email instructions. We need to have an order ticket to which to attach your artwork. If you do send an email the address is Support @ SweetLadyJane . com, and please put your last name and the date you want the order (ex: Wed, Feb. 15) into the Subject Line.

HOW MUCH NOTICE? For our daily 6" and 9" cakes (6" serve 6-8, 9" serve 12-16 ...see the
Dessert page for selection) you can order anytime during normal business hours for the next day. However, if you call after 2:00 pm you cannot pickup next day until after 3:00 pm. Larger cakes (10", 12", 14" and sheet cakes) for the next day must be ordered by 2:00 pm and must be picked up after 3:00pm next day. We cannot do specialty artwork nor change recipes for next day cakes. During evening hours there may not be someone in the bakery to write a message on your cake, so if you want a message, tell us at the time you place your order.

If possible, for SPECIAL ARTWORK orders (any cake not featuring our standard designs ...as found here on the Cake Descriptions page), give us 5 to 7 DAYS notice. Saturday is our busiest day, so to get the pickup time you want and to be sure we can create the design you want please give us AT LEAST ONE WEEK's notice.

THE SPECIFICS OF YOUR ORDER We will need your full name, phone number, the date and time you need the item(s) to be ready, and a credit card number to insure payment upon pickup. We do not run your credit card number UNTIL you pickup. An order ticket will not be filed nor your order made until we have all of this information.

If you've started an order but need to provide the additional information to complete the order ticket, simply call us back and tell whomever answers that the ticket is "on the board." We will then know it is a partial ticket and complete it and file your order so your SLJ item will be ready on time!

PICKUP AND PAYMENT Upon pickup, we will ask for the last name on the order. If you send someone else to get your order they MUST know the last name it is under. Upon pickup we will ask you how you want to pay. If you wish to run the credit card number given, we will then do so. Or, you can pay cash, use another card, or use an official business check. We take these credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Diners.

IT GETS VERY BUSY SOMETIMES We get very busy on Fridays and Saturdays and on most Saturdays there are periods during the day when it is crowded, so please allow for extra time. We ask your patience and we will help you as soon as one of our employees can give you their full attention. Our bakers, counter and floor employees are working very hard to get the right item to the right person and make sure it gets to your table or leaves our shop in excellent condition.

TRY TO BE FLEXIBLE It is imporant to understand that, despite our high profile and the sterling reputation we have earned over the years for our products, we are a specialty, gourmet bakery. We will do our best to work with you to accommodate your schedule needs and desires for particular products, but we ask your understanding if we must make changes.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR CREDIT-CARD CHARGE Credit-card companies build in a gratuity percentage when certain types of businesses swipe a customer's debit card through the processing machine. Thus people who check their account balances frequently online may see an amount that doesn't match. This is a temporary figure and will not reflect the actual charge until it is posted as a final charge. So if your debit card paper receipt received from SLJ shows a figure somewhat less than your online amount for that transaction, wait a day or so and see if it doesn't sort itself out (the transaction simply hasn't fully processed). If after a few days you notice an incorrect charge, we will happily correct any error on our part.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING SWEET LADY JANE
